Experience the enchanting church space
In Christiansborg Chapel you are surrounded by bright, pearlescent stucco marble on all sides. Take a break and lean back in the pews while you enjoy the silence in contrast to the energy and life of the city outside the walls. The Chapel is the setting for very special occasions. Every year on the first Tuesday in October, the Danish Parliament's opening service is packed with people. Major royal events have also taken place in the church - in 2006, Denmark's new Crown Prince Christian was baptized in this room and in 2018, Prince Henrik lay castrum doloris here.
